Whats speed densitity vs mass air

When I was driving my mustang around someone asked me of it was speed density or mass air. I told him mass air since I have the MAF sensor.
Did I tell him right?
And what's the difference?

Yes your 95 is mass air. Speed density stopped in 87 or 88 I believe. No mass air sensor so it used engine speed and 02s to calculate air flow. Not as reliable and efficient as MAF.
