What is your winter beater car? For the cold climate stang owners
Wow, Some of you guys are roughing it and others do winter in style. Its interesting to see what everyone is driving. I always wonder when I am sitting at the at the intersection waiting for the light to change and wondering if the guy in the beater (or boring car) next to me has a nice mustang sitting in his garage.
I snapped a picture of the stratus with my camera phone, nice and frozen

My winter car:
2000 Ford Crown Victoria, P73 base trim with Handling Package, and Traction Control. The Handling Package includes self-adjusting rear air suspension with upgraded sway bars, and a factory 3.55:1 rear axle ratio.
I performed the following mods:
Traction-Lok limited slip with +1 clutch mod
Addco larger Anti-roll bars with ENS poly bushings
Marauder airbox and MAF
Comp XE262H camshafts
Performance Improved intake manifold
Edelbrock IAS shock absorbers
AC Delco Police-spec brake pads
Magnaflow direct-fit high flow catalytic converters
Last time I took it to the track, it consistently ran 15.0-15.1 in the 1/4 mile before the intake manifold and Marauder intake. I also revised the tune using SCT's Pro Racer Package and installed the Trac-Lok. It previously had a busted Detroit TrueTrac.
I have Dunlop Graspic DS-1 snow tires on all 4 corners to handle the snow. We've had over 44" of snow in the SE MI area this winter.

I drive an 03 Chevy Cavilier. Its a 4cyl but it runs like a champ and is pretty good on gas! Goes good through snow and all! Only thing i do to the car is feed it gas and oil. Can't ask for more..
Wow, most of these aren't beaters, lol.
Mine is truly a beater, and purchased last month just for the sole purpose of the stang not seeing winters anymore.
128k 500 bucks. Maintenance kept up by owner, by our shop.
including clutch and timing belt. 4 brand new snow tires.
Vtec baby!

And my garage doors are wider than most in the UK. If only the Mustang had folding mirrors
We bought the house just before I bought the Mustang. The garage door was the first thing I checked out. I dismissed a couple of other houses as the garages were too small
Mine is a 1986 Caprice Classic Brougham. I got it from a Great Uncle that was giving up driving. It has only 65,000 miles on it. So far so good with it in Upstate New York's Winter. Snow tires all the way around and some new brakes and run's like a charm.....
My Ranger, but hardly a beater.
It still has under 30Kmi.on it.
Here is a picture I took today.

The snowbanks are taller than the truck.
