What was your first car
'57 Chevy 2-door, with all the trimmings! Metalflake paint job, 283 engine bored out to 302, Hurst 3-speed on the floor, Sun tach on the tree, chrome reversed rims with spinners, and an ARC 45 RPM record player hanging upside down under the dash... with a reverb unit! It was a sex machine. And a money pit.
77 Old's Starfire - it was a V6 manual transmission car, didn't last to long as I recall as the clutch went out in very short order which didn't matter at the time since I had wanted to transplant a 350 SBC and turbo 350 into the car.
Then it was a Chevette I bought for 80 bucks and drove the hell out of until the brakes gave up the ghost, then it was my first Mustang, a 91 LX 5.0 with a DOA.

78 Toyota Corolla Liftback. Beat the snot outta that car. I remember one Saturday night on the way to check out a local car cruise my Dad was in a 72 Corolla coupe he got fir a beater and we were running them light to light. Had a buddy with me and we were banging gears a chirping (couldn't believe it myself) having a blast! Fun times as a teenager!
Plymouth Horizon TC3 coupe from the 1980 vintage. What a POS!!! The only car I ever had that would accelerate only after the gas pedal was floored and two seconds would pass. Made on ramp merging very interesting! LOL
'84 Ford LTD ... 3.8L V6, 3-speeed auto, RWD
Bought it 8 yrs old with 45k miles on it, front fenders one shade of gray, hood one shade, rest of car a 3rd shade.
But I loved it .... I beat the snot out of it for 3 years, made me buy another Ford when its time was up.

First car - '74 Firebird (Excuse the ugly wheels, changed them out when I sold the car. This pic was taken just before pick up.)

Present car '13 Mustang

See any similarities?

This is the earliest car I remember my family having - a 1979 Zastava 101 (Zastava was the same company that used to make the Yugo).
It might look funny by today's standards, but this was a really advanced car when it was introduced in 1973. It had a FWD, ILS and a 1.3L engine rated at 75 hp.
We had one more 101 after this one (a 1984 model).

First car I was given was my 1978 Mustang II V6 4 Speed Hatch in Orange and Tan.
I miss it. Badly. I know, I'm weird for it, but it's true, I loved that little car, even though it was a broke *** piece of .... and was in the shop 3 weeks after it got back in my hands, each time for a different thing. I hated that Dad finally said "That's enough" and got rid of it, but I understood.
The first car that *I* bought and had a title for? A Black 1986 Mustang SVO. Had. To. Have.
Fun while it lasted, but it didn't last long. They blow up at 75K automatically, apparently. All the ones I knew of did anyway. Still. Best looking Fox they ever made, IMO. Was glad of the experience, to be sure.
