WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CAR?
Ahh yes, my first car. How about this for craptastic?
1980 Chevy Chevette. Silver in color, with 4 doors.
No I didn't buy it, or even get to choose what I wanted. BUT, it was free.
My great grandfather was rather well to do, and apparently his tradition was to buy a car for relatives that were graduating from High School.
I wasn't winning any cool points at all with it, but it did a good job of getting me into learning car maintenance. That car wasn't happy unless *something* wasn't working quite right.

Mine was a '65 Mustang Coupe hand me down from my older brother. It was a 6cyl. 3sp., blue in color. I remember going to Atlanta one night to help my sister's husband replace a clutch or tranny, memories fuzzy, was 30 something years ago, and going to a topless sandwich shop at the age of 16. Lost the car later because of an accident and the guy didn't have insurance.
I got a 1987 Chevy Celebrity in 1989. Great car--had it until I graduated college in 1995, then gave it to my sister and got a 1994 convertible Z28. Another great car--until the transmission went bad in 1998 at 45,000 miles--not under warranty (darn Chevy!!!). Got rid of it and started driving my husbands 1994 black Mustang GT. Still driving that now, but awaiting the arrival of my 2005 black Mustang GT...and waiting, and waiting...
I await a car to drive, but my first car was a/is a 1963 galaxie. no motor, no tranny, no nothing but a body and a interior beging for re-upholstery. i love her but SO much work to be done i need something i can ride in by next year.
I am pretty sure im going to sell it to get money to buy a running car. mustang or a falcon or an f-100. I've probably posted this photo a billion times...

y dont u save up for a new drivetrain? heck for like $1-2K or so u could pick up maybe a damaged 5.0 or somethin n transplant the engine n tranny might be fun building basically the entire car urself
but that's just me
good luck
but that's just megood luck
First car was a new Aqua 67 Cougar, equipped with high perf 289 cid, 4barrel carb, 4sp transmission, dual exhasts, styled steel wheels and deluxe interior.
The car was faster than any stock vehicle in town, including all the Cudas. It was only turning 3000 at 90 mph and had plenty more.

My first car was an 1988 Mustang LX coupe, the car was Tropical Yellow but my brother sprayed it primer gray then covered that with blue paint from dollar general. the windshield wipers didn't work, no radio, no hubcaps, smoked like a train, but it was free and it was mine. Thinking about it, the first time I ever visited this site was when I was looking for a site the decoded VINs so I would know the original color....I guess something good did come from that car!
1994 Eagle Vision 4dr 232hp 3.3li V6 man that was a fun one... just got my license revoked til march 21 so i sold it to my sis for a good grand and im saving to buy a 91-92 supra in spring(no 93+ super riced with a side platter of crap styling for me) I want mine to look american.. even if it takes some heavy mods that will require sheet metal welders and stupidity.... Ohh yea my vision easily hit 110 but limiter kicked in by 117 it was fun to hit 100 on 23 on the weekend mornings on my way to church.....
