Here's some pics of Lincoln/Mercury's Mark VIII (I think?) from the Cleveland Auto Show. The hardtop fold back automatically into the trunk. It was one sweet looking ride. The announcer said it should make it to production soon. It basically looks like an upgraded T-Bird.

Mercury is the nameplate to go agaisnt BMW and Lexus...

What they need is a really great new Cougar
The Marauder rocks :headbang:
And Merc needs a really awesome jaw dropping halo car

And Ford needs to seperate Mercury from Lincoln, for the love of jebus
Mercury against Lexus and BMW????? First, what is the point of Lincoln if Mercury is the premeir luxury brand? and two, Lexus and BMW are two different kinds of companies...

Lexus is pure luxury...They are what Lincoln was, and should be now.

BMW, is performance luxury....Is that what you think Mercury should be?

I agree Mercury needs to seperate from Lincoln...

That would be a good idea, make Mercury a performance Luxury brand..

That's the Lincoln Mark X... the Mark VIII stopped production in 1998.

Ford blew it, with making the Thunderbird over the last 30 years a fat boulevard cruiser, the Thunderbird should have always been a 2 seater sports car roadster to compete with Corvette
