I am glad to see the Audi-face grille go away and have the grille go back to simple VW roots. It really doesn't look like they changed much of the body except for a few lower cost cosmetic facelifts.

Looks like VW also got tired of round circles in the taillamps and made them look more conventional. However, they look more like they took a step backward when we first saw them on the Touareg. The Golf V taillamps were better looking.

The improved dash pad which is shared with the Eos and Scirocco should be lot better than the rattle and squeak dash center the Rabbit and GTI had before.

Interior looks great. Exterior, meh. Too pedestrian, as though VW can't really come up with a design that isn't a squashed hodge-podge of everything else you see on the road.

Maybe they should allow more Audi to seep into their design language.
