That's the horsepower I was looking for in the Golf R. I always complained about the lack of value in the previous model.

It's still priced with Evo's and STi's

Would you consider this over one of those?

I would. This actually has an interior and gets decent gas mileage.

Meanwhile Subaru gives you some seats and a stereo (some people may only want that anyways) and Mitsubishi will get you about 150 miles down the road before a fill up.

This is the best of both worlds. Although it is a slightly different car with a slightly different purpose.

Only thing I don't like is the exhaust. Don't the exhaust tips look too big to anyone else? I would much prefer the center exhaust with the rear valance wrapping around it like the previous version.

I agree. The exhaust looks like they pulled those tips right off an R8. If they were going to do that, I'd rather they pull off the oval ones off the R8 GT.

In Europe yes. In the USA no.

Its only really all that economical for a 2.0 I4 car. The old one was rated at 19/27, this new one might be rated at 21/30 or so ... Mustang V6 with the engine almost twice the engine size is rated at 19/31.

Meh, I'd rather have this AWD German car, if it were available.

RS3 hatchback is available, but it looks like they might come out with a sedan too.

That one would cost you more than a Corvette.
