GM announced today that MSRP on the 2014 Chevy SS will be $44,470. For all that, you get a re-badged Holden Commodore SS V with a 6.2-liter, 415-horsepower LS3 V8 and a six-speed automatic transmission with paddles. Stick shift enthusiasts need not apply, thanks.

I think it looks fine, if not quite as good as the late G8 with which it shares the same basic excellent stance and proportions. The hot rod Vauxhall version pictured is a bit overwrought for my tastes. That all said, I think $44K is a bit steep, should be priced a few $K under 40 really.

I like it and it ain't a Chrysler so thumbs up on what the car is. $44k I think it's not. $35ish would be a good car for the money. Guess ill wait a few years for the used one.

I believe Chevy was just building a small number to meet nascar requirements, so its over priced due to the fact the think there are those few chevy fans that will fork out 44 grand for the car.
