(UPDATE) Richard Hammond in Critical Condition

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/e...re/5365676.stm

terrible terrible news. I desperately hope that he'll recover, he's an amazing entertainer. To me, kind of like the crocodile hunter's tragic death, this accident goes to show just how awesome and dedicated he is...

They are saying he was going around 280 mph before the accident.

I wondered if Clarkson would make fun of him for getting airlifted for an emergency teeth whitening.

According to BBC, he's shown improvement but they're not releasing additional info. An earlier bulletin on the crash said he was going in and out of consciousness while they were pulling him out and putting him in the ambulance, which suggests a head injury.

You can send comments to the show trough the website, as good a place as any to send best wishes.

The hospital have said that a CAT scan has not shown any bleeding in the skull, but has shown "Significant" injury, but they are optomistic of a "good" recovery. Guarded words, but I really wish him the best

Just checked BBC.co.uk, and I read that he is in stable condition, and out of ICU. Clarkson, and May have been at his bedside, and Richard had a conversation with May. Read the link I enclosed below, thats on BBC.

Hammond talks to Top Gear co-star

This is terrific news. Sounds like he's going to be okay. Best wishes Richard, keep up the fight, and get well.
