trading in for a cheaper car help please.

ok so heres the deal I bought the mustang for 31 nada says its worth about 27 and I owe about 22.

the vehicles I am looking at(suv) are around 15-18k

can I trade in for a cheaper vehicle and lower my payments?

I am tired and bored of my mustang and want something to haul around family.

Yes you can. I'd sell independently and use the extra cash as a down payment. Dealerships will not give you what the cars worth. Take my advice!

27 on 31 paid isn't bad, specially if you talk in a discount on the new car for trading

im the 3rd owner of the 13. I assume that helps

really looking at a used suburban

I know I lost some money and the main reason I bought the car was to get rid of my srt since it was wrecked.

You can do that. I was looking at doing the same thing recently as well. So if they give you the $27k, the 5k will got to lower the price of the vehicle you are buying. Also since the vehicle you are buying cost less than the one you are trading in, you don't have to pay taxes. Just tags, title, and doc fees.
