Toyota July Sales DOWN 18.7%

http://www.cnbc.com/id/25968618

Toyota Motor said that U.S. auto sales fell an adjusted 18.7 percent in July, driven by steep declines in large vehicles.
Everybody is hurting in the auto industry. Lower truck sales are hurting Toyota too.

If I'm not mistaken, Toyota's sales were down for every month this year.

Problem with Toyota is that their product has become overly truck and SUV dependent. With the Tundra/Sequoia getting dreadful mpg. They can only sell so many Priuses when the Tundras are sitting in the lot. The San Antonio Tundra plant is idle right no, luckily no one has lost a job, but they opened that plant new just to produce the Tundra and now its gotta hurt.

Hopefuly they are looking to retool that place to build Priuses. Get the cost down on those and they would make a killing.

Seems everyone else but Honda is hurting - guess they can laugh and say "I told you so..." since they're the only ones who didn't see a drop in sales.

Actually Honda's sales in July were down by 9.2%.

Nissan was the only company whose sales were up in July (+0.12%).

Well, I stand corrected then. I wouldn't know that driving on the roads around here.
