i know around here vinyl roofs have become a pretty popular aftermarket add on. i see lots of crown vics and grand marquis and cars like that with them.

I know the cougars had vinyl tops as an option and I believe the T-birds for a few years did too. No verts for that style though. Would have been neat though!

I wish mine was a vert... I wonder how hard it would be to make a custom vert?

A lot of work would need to be done. From strengthening the body and A-pillars to fabricating the whole back end to accomadate the mechanics of the top. Not to mention all of the electrical hardware you would need. It would cost thousands to do it right. I'm sure its been done but its not worth it IMO.

Your car is perfect the way it is

I am sure it is possible, there are a couple of last generation Cadilliac Eldorado's in my town that were made into custom convertibles (however this might have been a referral from the dealer) and I am not sure if the T-Birds chassis is properly built for a convertible. You might have to do a lot of work to make it safe.
