I would love to have either of those cars, except the thing is they are both RWD, I desperatley need a front or AWD car for winters.
UPDATE: The C70 was definitely creeping to the top of the list, but I may have to rule it out due to the fact it only has two back seats
. As for the TL-S, I would feel a little dumb purschasing a new car that will be remodeled next year. So its down to the Altima Coupe and the G35x with the Charger R/T in distant third.
I will take all 5 out for test drives anyway.
Thanks for the input guys.

And there is also Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable.
I would consider the Acura only if I could get a great deal on one. With a new model coming, and sales of the old model logically waning a bit at this point in the current models life, you should be able to swing a deal.
The Altima Coupe is okay, but for the money I think that Nissan is pushing things just a bit here, particularly for the V6 model. Realistically speaking similar money will get you into a S40T5 with AWD or even a Mazdaspeed 6 after rebates, etc are considered. Neither of those cars has been as popular as Ford had hoped with the Volvo arguably being a bit too soft and the now cancelled MS6 a bit too harsh for the target customer, but both are great cars and I cannot imagine picking an Altima Coupe over either. However, it all comes down to personal preference and if you like the Nissan better that is all that really matters.
I have a similar problem with the G35 AWD. For similar money I could likely get into one of the leftover S60R sedans Volvo recently decided to cut loose. Even at sticker these are phenomenal cars, throw in the rebates that are attached to this model now and the S60R proves to be a real deal sport sedan that also happens to ride wonderfully and which has the benefit of AWD just like the Nissan....not to mention a surprisingly low price tag. If G35 AWD money is a realistic option for you then I think the S60R deserves a drive..although you may have to take what you can find on the lots in this scenario.
As for the C70..I like it. But unless you really want that RHT the S40T5 delivers what is almost certain to be a similar driving experience for far less dough, and with the added practicality of four doors. That cars big brother, the S60R, just happens to deliver a stellar driving experience for about the same amount of scratch as a well eqipped C70 RHT when all things are considered. Just some thoughts.

I have previously owned a Volvo S40 2.4i, and wasnt a huge fan, which is another reason why I ruled out the c70. The S80 v8 awd, now thats something to consider. Just a bit out of my price range.
Im still standing by the G35x.......I'm telling you that car is amazing. If its between that and the altima coupe, I'd say go for the G35x. Mainly because you already have a mustang, so as far as practicallity goes......the G35x seems to make a little more sense .
what will you be using it for mainly?
I would pick the acura simply because I had one and loved it. Winter driving was pretty good. heated seats and pretty much loaded .... good stuff.
I am kinda liking one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-...QQcmdZViewItem
with a fewer miles of course. shop around and you can find a great deal with factory warranty left on it for right around that price.
http://motors.search.ebay.com/bmw-x5...01QQsamcmZ6001
may be able to get a great deal on the acura also. You could skip the type s and not really miss to much

Here are the standings.
The G35x and Altima coupe are neck and neck for the top spot. I like the Altima's looks better, but everything else for the G. I have all but ruled out the Charger and Volvo C70, with the Acura hanging by a thread. It will all come down to the test drives.

G35x hands down no comparison to the others on the list.
BUT, Another excellent car that is always overlooked is the Subaru Legacy GT, the poor-mans Audi. Its a wonderful vehicle if it has enough room for you(which it sounds like with the Altima coupe in the list). I sold Subaru's and Acuras over the years, and the TL is a complete waste of money you can sense the tons of profit Honda makes on them-may as well get the Accord, and the Legend GT is a blast to drive. Being that they sell slow because they do not bother to advertise them, typically you can get them for 1000 under invoice plus incentives by going to a dealer's website. The Altima coupe sounds like a strange choice with the others listed. Its too bad Subaru dropped the GT wagon, it was a very cool car. You can probably pick up a new 07 GT Limited for a song right now.

Not sure why the AWD Fusion SEL isn't on this list, but that is probably where I'd go. I personally cannot stand they way that Altima coupe looks. If I had to pick one, i'd probably be the G.
There are a lot of practical cars with AWD that I left off the list. I am very particular with my cars, I have taken a list of cars I like and narrowed it down to these four, based on looks and specifications. Obviously the G is on the top of the list, but it is also the most expensive. Something has to give. I wil be test driving the G and Altima next weekend. I will let you know how it goes.
Ok, so today I took a trip to a Nissan dealership then to Acura then finally on to an Infiniti dealership. Test drove the Nissan Altima Coupe, Acura TL type-s, and the Infiniti G35x.
Impressions:
1) Altima Coupe: Looked nice, exactly what I expected from the outside. The interior was very dull. When I pulled off the lot, I immediately noticed the overwhelmingly light steering, which was a huge turn off for me. For a lightweight car with 270 hp, it had only mediocre acceleration (hey, Im used to driving a Mustang). Overall I was very unimpressed with this car, I expected to fall in love with it. I realize this car is not in the same class as the other two but its not that much cheaper (price as tested: $32,000)
2) Acura TL type-s: After coming from the dissapointing Altima, driving this car was a pleasure. I immediately fell in love with it with its extremely tight steering. It handled very well and accelerated with some oomph. Everything comes standard in this car, nav, bluetooth, sat radio, HID's, everything I want. Overall I was very impressed and was ready to drive it home that day but I still had one more car to drive. The only things about this car that are holding me back is the fact that TL's are a dime a dozen, albeit not the s-type but the only one noticing the difference would be car freaks. The other thing holding me back is that there might be a redesign for '09-'10. (price as tested: about $38,000)
3) Infiniti G35x: At this point I had ruled out the Altima and new it would be between the Acura and this. The G certainly has the leg up in looks over the TL. The steering was tight, but not as tight as the TL, although the small steering wheel felt incredible. Acceleration was definitley a notch above the TL and the sounds coming from the engine and exhaust were brilliant, reminding me of my previous 350z. The fact that this car is AWD was also a huge factor. This was the car for me, and after talking numbers with the salesperson (she was a school teacher, not your typical salesperson, and a pleasure to work with), my decision was iced. Now I just have to wait a little while for my previous lease to run out....the wait is going to kill me. (price as tested: about $39,000)
Thanks guys for all the input.
Oh, and just for kicks, I took out a G37S for a joy ride....I may have to trade in the Mustang (JUST KIDDING), although it was an icredible car.
