There is a lot wrong with rap.

 

So what do you dislike so much? Social commentary? Realistic lyrics? The supposed "lack of talent?"

I think he was talking to me. I don't hate rap. There is lots of rap I like out there.

I am not a racist and I have nothing against folks of different color or nationality. However, white folks that try to act black, wiggers, annoy me. I don't like dem' wiggers. Anyway, rap does get real boring after a while. I mean, all it is, is finding a beat and singing to it and the darned beat never changes. Lyrically, well depends on the song. Ford's song for video packages as they continue to recover and post some great profits should be "Bring Your Whole Crew" by DMX. It's a really great pissed-off-don't-$%&#-with-me song and other cars that Ford's owned over the years (F-bodies in the first commercial of course) would be shown as the chorus goes.

1. "wigger" is a very offensive term. (white - hite) + (ni99er - n) = wigger. Some white people cannot help but to act like the rest of the urban culture because thats what they were raised in.

2. I feel the exact same way you do but not about rap. I think most rock songs sound the same. They all start slow then goes CRAZY then goes back slow and so on.

3. Lyrics is the biggest part of rap. Lyrics have to be totally original. People don't want to hear the same lyrics from two different people.

 

Only time I use the N-bomb is when I'm rapping along with something, as I did above.

 

i dont like rap that much either.
there is too much profanity, to much talk about booty, sex, and a lot of yo yo's and raising of hands for no apparent reason

even one of my favorite bands, the "jazz-rap" band The Roots, Parody the joke that rap has become today in one of their videos, i think its the "what they do" music video.
its really funny, they make fun of the beat downs, the half naked ladies (one of the bikini wearing ladies gets a butt cramp ), the mansions, the cars, just everything that has become rap today. This band is very talented, worth a look at, even for those rap haters.

i really like public enemy, that was a rap group with a purpose

a little extra on the roots:
they use no turntables, they have two guys that make the effects with their mouths, its pretty amaizing really
the drummer, ?uestlove, is amazing, one of the best drummers right now IMO. thier MC (vocalist) is known as one of the best out there
but other then the roots, rap is really not likeable
