This is for DOug and Jason!
Last night was a blast! in the spirit of the Monaco DB9 race, Jeremy raced the hamster and May from Guildford to a town in the alps near Geneva......he was in a Ferarri 612 and they could use planes!!
After 11 hours of travelling, Jeremy overtook them on the main street of Verbier (the town they were heading for), car beats plane as well! On the way, Jeremy had to tape down the windscreen wipers due to a very annoying buzzing, then it started raining...... turned on the said wipers and just about snapped one off!!
Also, the Stig got to take a Renault Formula 1 car round the track to see if it could be done in less than a minute......... 59.2 seconds!!
That's all for now, I think that other site should post the whole episode soon...
J
EDIT: I forgot about the race between a Bobsleigh and a Evo 7 rally car....... bobsleigh beat car by 2 seconds down the bob-run in Lillehammer, Norway..... James May has never looked so scared....

The write up from the web page......
This week on Top Gear: Jeremy thought his Ferrari would beat a plane to Switzerland. James in a Mitsubishi rally car raced Richard in a bobsleigh, and our special guest has a very fetching shade of nail varnish on.
Car v plane
Fact 1
A plane costs 50 million quid, travels at 550mph and cruises at an altitude of 30,000 feet.
Fact 2
A Ferrari costs £200,000 and does 196mph at 0 feet.
Conclusion
On the face of the evidence, racing a plane against a Ferrari 612 to the Swiss Alps might seem a bit pointless.
But Top Gear didn't become Britain's most popular motoring show by playing it safe.
Jeremy jumped into the Ferrari, set the climate control for a pleasant 23 degrees centigrade then headed off to Dover. Meanwhile Richard and James made that long walk back to the bus stop and waited.
Finally, after a bus ride, a train ride, a bus ride then a 90 minute wait to check-in, the intrepid duo were in the air.
What followed was a thrilling race across three countries which ended with Jeremy turning up as Richard and James tried to find the finish line. Needless to say, it was in this final stretch that driving a car was a distinct advantage. Not only does it keep your bottom warm, it also goes quicker than a man who refuses to run on television.
Jeremy loved the Ferrari, and although it developed a rattle that nearly drove him mad (caused by a bent windscreen wiper), he said that it would be hard to find a car that performed as well in all situations as this one.
Car v bobsleigh
You might have seen bobsleigh racing on the TV. It consists of four adult men jumping into something that looks like a bath tub in order to hurtle down a mountain on sheet ice. What's even better about bobsleighing is that the laws of physics dictate that the bobsleigh will find its way to the absolute bottom, even if it turns upside down. Which would be a pain in the neck for the people in it.
Perhaps the only thing dafter than chucking yourself down a mountain in a bathtub is letting a crazy man drive you down the same mountain, on the same sheet ice, in a Mitsubishi Evo. It was not then, a huge surprise when James nearly made the profanity filter in the edit suite explode during his race down the hill.
The result was close, but there was a clear winner, Hammond and his bobsleigh won by over two seconds.
Restoration winner
Thank you for all your votes on restoration, after careful counting we are pleased to announce that the winner was Paddy Hopkirk's rally Mini. You can see the restored car in the next series.
Le singe est dans l'arbre
This week's guest was a man who changed the face of British comedy, taught us how to tell French speakers that "the monkey is in the tree" and "the cat is on the chair". That's right, it was genius comedian and actor Eddie Izzard. Eddie popped by to go for a spin round the track, and managed to get a very decent time of 1.52.
Power to the people
We all know that modern road cars are built on the same technology that's used in rally cars and track cars, especially the Mitsubishi Evo and Subaru Impreza, which are both road-going rally cars. What we wanted to know was how good are the cars in showrooms across the country right now. Are they better than the racing cars of yesteryear?
Focus RS v Escort RS1600
In this race the RS1600 had a disadvantage: its cornering was lousy because its rear axel is much like a scaffolding pole. This was an easy win for the Focus with its computer technology.
Ford GT40 v Nobel M400
A tricky one. It might be 40 years old, but the Ford GT was built to beat everything else on the track, and the Nobel is no exception. It was almost too close to call, but the stopwatch never lies and we timed the Ford GT at 0.6 of a second faster. One all then.
Audi Quattro v Evo VIII
What a pairing, the Audi Quattro revolutionised both rally cars, and then did the same for road cars. Its lighter probably has more horse power than the Evo but its engine is too far forward which means massive understeer. The Evo with its two year warranty and fabulous stereo won this one.
That proves it. The racing cars of yesterday were beaten by cars that anyone could buy from a main dealer, in our tests anyway.
F1 Car
We got a bit bored with Ferrari winning everything, like the race against the plane, and all those Grand Prix races, and even their Enzo was at the top of our Power Laps board. But then a suggestion came, how about knocking it of the top spot with a Renault? After we had picked ourselves up off the floor we realised that the suggestion was the Renault F1 car. And that did make more sense. So we let them have a pop at the record, and unsurprisingly it managed to go round in 59 seconds. We won't be adding it to the power lap board though, that would be cheating.

Join us next week, at 8:30pm, Boxing Day, BBC 2, for the last show in the current series.
