Sodding Jeeps
Sodding Jeeps
My Jeep Grand had it's annual safety check today. For the second time in two years, it was going to cost me $2k to pass the inspection.
I have scrapped it, and just purchased this. It is a 2006 with only 7k miles on it. 3.5l V6 merc engine that will be converted to lpg within the week.
I test drove it today and it felt so much better than the Jeep.

it was quite hilarious lol. its such a terrible idea. "yes lets take sensitive electrical equiptment, put it at the bottom of the engine where grime gets on it and then put it in a 4wd SUV
Here it is a 300c Tourer. For some reason the previous owner had 20" wheels put on it at the dealer before delivery. He drove it 7k miles in 4 years and then sold it! I had it fully checked, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Jason, once converted it will return "real money" 41mpg (already converted to US gallons). Performance will drop 5%, but only when at WOT, I never noticed the loss in the Jeep, so am not expecting to see it with this.
Petrol here is currently £1.15 a litre ($1.66/L or $6.34/US gallon). LPG is £0.57 a litre ($0.83/L or $3.14/US gallon)

I have had it 2 days now and absolutely love it. After the Jeep, it is great being able to accelerate at the apex of a corner and not worry about the thing rolling over!
Although not a mustang, I can start *driving* again!
275 35 20's on the back and 245 40 20's on the front leave me with a lot of rubber on the road for playing! (Also, the ESP, ABS, braking assist and some other gadget, together have assured me that they will save me in the event of an emergency!)

Sorry, but that's hilarious.
