Leasing sounds great but I get attached to my possessions. This is going to be a long term relationship.

I know this feeling. Our 335i put us back much further than expected. I can only hope to order a 2011 by the November cutoff, otherwise I can hunt through the lots and possibly wait for the year end clearance but I am certainly looking at end of the year possibly an early 2012 order at this point.

Besides I wanted M3 performance with a much lower price tag all wrapped in American sheet metal!

We'll have to settle this debate in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge!

BMW's are nice. Just don't keep it long enough for the electrical problems to start.

Wow, thanks for the mainly warm replies. Actually money is an object for me guys thats why I sold the Porsche and got rid of a 328i that was at lease end. I lease as I can take full advantage of the tax benefits of leasing. Selling the Porsche and turning in the 08 328i actually saved me over $800 per month as the 997 did not make a good DD at all.

Newer BMWs are actually quite reliable guys, granted in the past (talking about up to about 1998) they had electircal gremlins...all manafacturers do. This is my 3rd M3 and my 04 M3 now has over 125k miles on her according to her new owner.

I'll always love Mustangs, there were just a few deal breakers for me. Im not here to start the IRS vs. SRA debate, but to me this was important to me along with a few other items which may seem nitpicking to others but were deal breakers to me when it came to spending my hard earned money.

I do feel the 2014 Mustang will be the one to get and probably has my name on it.

Anyway, I want to feel welcome on a board and if you guys had an issue than I would just lerk.

Dave

Oh pleaseeee. You're not the only one on here without a Mustang. I would have gone for the sedan if you could get the Comp Pkg though.

Dave, you can go but your avatar stays!

Kidding! I don't have any problem, we are automotive enthusiasts here. But who am I to make that call. I'll still talk to ya! I love that you stuck with the manual! I won't argue with you on the SRA thing. A buddy of mine brought it up as an arguing point a few weeks ago but I just blew off the comment like he didn't even say it. Personally I love the predictability of an SRA, it makes me more confortable with the system. The 335 is the first indy rear end I have owned and I have no real clue what its quarks are just yet.

I did park my Honda next to a 2010 M3 about a month ago and as I was about to get into my car some girl asked me if the M3 was mine. I just said "I wish!" Then I sulked into my Accord. Should have at least driven the 335.

An M3 is never a bad choice.

If money were no object, I'd get one but like others, I'm seriously value conscious on my depreciating assets. The Mustang is a slam dunk when it comes to value. Even $30k V6's.

Only see it when the sunroof is open.

Without the buffering will drive you mad when it is open.

Nice.

Nice choice. It's a great car and I can't hate because I just sold a 335i that was at 47k miles and about to go out of warranty.

I have always been a mustang guy, just not always have driven a mustang. Buying an '11 lets me say I have only owned five-oh's, since my previous cars were a '93 and '94. The new five-oh is a perfect car to buy brand new and keep long-term, it won't kill me to leave in the garage over the winter while I make the payment on it.
