Well I finally got around to installing my cam kit I had "lying around" into the GTO. Put the Flowmaster 1 series mufflers I had on it as well too.
Started out fairly normal. What took a day in the Camaro I figured would take that much or less in a more accessible engine bay. Went ahead and installed the valve springs/retainers etc. first. Fairly simple and straight foreward till about the 3rd spring. Using one of those cheap type screw down type at most auto parts stores, one of the jaws slipped off sending the inner spring smashig a coke can and it and the retainer into low earth orbit, necessitating ordering 1 inner spring and having to drive to comp cams to match retainer (didn't do it in a shop so 4 weeks later and it's still MIA). After installing the camshaft and trying to reattach the oil pump pickup tube the **** bolt drops in the oil pan which required even more work and delay. Got it all together finally, welded in the flowmasters and I'll be damned if the accessory belt didn't break shredding my MAF wiring harness
. Patched it together and so far so good (about 4 weeks). Surprised it will even hold an idle without a tune but that's to come soon after the headers. I'll get vids up as soon as I get around to it. Sounds good (especially 3K and above), shakes the whole **** car, and runs much stronger even without a tune. My tires definately don't like it but they only stay on 6 months at a time anyway so its all good.
Maybe the next couple of weeks I'll getting around to fixing my clutch issues to get more than a 1-2- sometimes 3rd gear blast in it.

Vids not best in world, and to me sounds a tad bit different in person but alas....
