SEMA: '11 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392
hmmm those seat inserts look awful familiar...
i like it overall. i think those exhaust tips should have been saved for a Cuda revival. i honestly like the Cuda alot better. 470hp and it has 255s in the rear??? hope this thing doesnt have a problem hooking up like the GT500 used to (and somewhat still does from what ive heard/read). even the axle gears are 3.92....haa.

I like it. 470 & 470 should be nice numbers.
quad tips are a nice touch.
And the rims are similar but slightly different I think?
And yea the seats match the stripping which is oddly similar to another car...
But all in all the subtle touches are nicely presented.

I wonder if the 392 Hemi will eventually be folded in as the standard SRT-8 mill, and perhaps the current 6.1 SRT-8 Hemi becoming the standard R/T engine. Dodge really does need to up the game a few notches with the Challenger if it expects to keep up with the Stang and Camaro, which are in a feverish performance war.
While it seems Dodge is taking a bit more of a toned down gentleman's pony car approach with the Challenger, perhaps out of necessity given its portliness, I don't think they need to be within a certain distance, performance wise, to be taken seriously, especially given the steeper pricing of the Challenger, typically 4-8 grand above its competitors for models of similar performance.
My long term hope is that Dodge, in the next redesign, keeps the gorgeous styling, clearly the best of the three pony cars, but trims it up significantly in both girth and mass.
