Good times! Except, of course, for the overall dimensions and weight.
Challenger stays true to roots

I still say this Challenger will have far less than 100,000 buyers first year. It just doesn't appeal to the same, wide customer base as the Mustang. The Camaro will face the same issue.

I love this car and am glad they aren't gonna change it. 97svt, I agree with you to an extent. Not offering a V6 or "cheaper" model may hurt sales especially because of gas prices. However, I think Chrysler has some freakin brains with this car. The true die-hard fans of the Challenger will like this car because it has the same bad-*** design as the original and probably better performance, while the modern power hungry lads and lassies with love it as well.
GM on the other hand hasn't gotten it through their skulls. They still think people want futuristic looking cars and that is why they are dieing. The retro-Mustang is so successful because of it's appeal to old school muscle car fans as well as the modern crowd. And the fact is when people think of a "real car" they think of a 60's Corvette Stingray, or any of the other muscle cars of that era. The Mustang's style brought that feeling back, at least for me. This "Camaro", if you can call it that, that they are making will go the way of the GTO. You want a futuristic looking peice of total crap, you buy a foreign car.
