Possible Twin Turbo Camaro?
Possible Twin Turbo Camaro?
GM is clearly trying to put a damper on Fords new powertrain introductions. They must be awfully concerned with it based on all this static they're putting out. GM still moves like a slug. Based on what we know about GM, it'll take them until 2013 to get this engine in the car IF they even do it.

I wouldn't go that far. The boosted ecotec 2.0 has been around and in cars for quite some time now, and they've turbo'd several in the past GN's, SY/TY, Firebirds, ElCamino etc, not to even mentioned all the SC V6's running around. It doesn't take rocket science to know that turbo's up the efficiency of an engine. I'm not buying the authors part about trying to beat Ford to the punch on anything. If they wanted to match power on anything in Ford's lineup EB or not the LSA and LS9 do a good job. Just as they switched the from SC to TC on the ecotec and got much better efficiency and power, they know TC is more efficient than SC. GM engineers know how to make power it's the bean counters that usually get in the way of things. I read this in the cards a while back when I first heard they were putting blowers the V8's and posed it on other forums that I frequent as such a while back. I think it was comming reguardless of whether EB was leaked. It's just the natural progression of things. Either way I'm still not 100% convinced it will actually go into production just like the Z28, perhaps and maybe doesn't mean anything until the rubber meets the road.
