Looking for anyone who knows about Mavericks, I would try to find a site but I have to get up early and need some sleep. Can anyone tell me if this is a special Maverick due to the paint assuming it is original as said? Thanks!!

Yep it's a standard Grabber. To bad it doesn't have 302 in it. Nice car, great price.

Paint is paint, and I don't think there's any such thing as a rare Maverick. They were unspectacular in their day, and continue to be so in the present. I had a buddy with one and drove it a lot. I hate to burst your bubble, but I think you'll be very disappointed by this car.

3500 for a 6 pot Maverick?! Ouch. Those things were pretty popular around here in the 80's for drag cars. They're pretty light and could really go with a V8. But egads, 3500?!

I beg to differ with ya's on that. I thought the Maverick was a pretty cool little Econobox. Buddy of mine painted one black, dropped a beefed up 302 in it. Big wheels and tires. Thing ripped, it was a helluva sleeper.

"Fast Eddie" and a few other older Maverick drivers might also disagree.

(Years ago helped a neighbor stuff the drivetrain from a BOSS 302--even the 4:30 Locker rear--into a 71 Grabber Blue Maverick.)
