Is this possible?

Ok so this 2009 civic si owner said he was putting down 300-320hp by just changing the fuel injectors, crank shaft, pistons and rods. He also said he bored it out but everything on his car looked and sounded bone stock. I have a feeling he was bull****ing me.

I'm sure its possible. If he still has a stock exhaust and whatnot, it would sound pretty close to stock. Going off of memory, I think those SIs made some pretty decent power, so I wouldn't put those numbers out of the realm of possibility.

Of course he could also be full of **** .

A new crank shaft would do nothing. Pistons would only let you have higher compression or run boost. The rods don't add any power at all. And fuel injectors are useless unless you can get enough air to mix with the increased amount of fuel. Lol A n/a Honda civic cant do that. Even if you bore it out it's still not going to have a 100hp bump in specially when your going from a 2L to what a 2.5L. That guy was talking out of his *** lol

I have seen 300hp N/A civics. Yes its possible. I'm sure the crank is changed to handle a bump in redline.

Lol ok now I'm going to go out and change my crankshaft, pistons, rods, and bore it out with bigger fuel injectors to get over 100hp! Lol yeah he didn't even put better cams in it it's not going to gain 100 from a little more fuel and a little more displacement.

Google search says no, not with out real mods or boost. They don't make a ton of hp stock.

This guy only said pistons, rods, injectors, crankshaft and maybe he bored it out. He didn't have cams or any exhaust work at all.

I was saying 300hp is possible on a N/A civic, not that those mods would get it there. Just cause he didn't say something doesn't mean he didn't do it.

If he had the mods stated above you would have heard the difference. He didn't have any cams or exhaust mods even.
