I was just wondering since I have seen so many discussions on license plates that maybe people, at least in OHIO, would like to sign a petiton to help remove the front license plate. Maybe if these great leaders of OHIO realize that the people want it removed, that they might actually act on the will of the people for a change. It actually would save the gov. money so they can't use that as an excuse. Anyway, here is the site.

I thought I had heard in the news that the State House has passed the legislation to delete the front plate. Heard that about a month ago. AAA is a big advocate of getting rid of the front plate, but usually the law enforcement groups put the stop to it going any further. The reason being its easier to identify a vehicle w/ 2 plates. ( also a nice target for the laser gun I suppose) Would be nice to get rid of the plate, like every other state surrounding ours has.

Great leaders in Ohio, I know that's sarcasm, but man, shouldn't even use sarcasm when talking about Ohio just in case some poor sap believes it. Ohio is the place where hope goes to die.

won't actually work, just might get the "great leaders" to think about it. (think should probably be in quotes, since I doubt any political leader in this state does so)

signed #3012

Do I sound happy today?

When I was 19 I got pulled over for not having a front plate. In a car that belonged to my parents. In a car that came from a state where it was not required therefore did not have the bracket.

It was a good excuse for the cop to follow a young driver to provoke them into getting a ticket. Pissed me off when I watched 14 other cars drive by that did not have front plates but had brackets for them.

We don't have to have front plates here in Arizona. I guess our legislators thought we deserved a little something for sticking it out though the bazillion degree summer temperatures. Whoo hoo for us B)

Don't give up hope. It took years, but Ohio has finally passed concealed carry legislation. Yes, the "Great Leaders" there, primarilly the State Troopers Association, screwed it up and made it easy for a permit holder to get jailed for stupid reasons, but the legislation passed.

Ohio's the only place I've been where it can be daylight every day, but you won't see the sun for months. A few years ago, Ohio was the #2 State in suicides, following Washington state. These were also the top 2 states with the least amount of sunshine.

Good luck to the Buckeye State to get this dumb law overturned.

Tell me about it... not too long ago there was something in the Cleveland Plain Dealer that Cleveland actually averages more cloudy days than Seattle or Alaska (where it's night for 6 months at a time).

And this last summer I bet we had more rain than Seattle.

On the bright side, all Clevelanders get to go straight to Heaven, since we are enduring the seventh circle of heck. (oops, language filters :nono: )

Maybe Cleveland's slogan should be "Abandon Hope all Ye who enter Here" Oh well, at least I don't live in Pittsburgh.

I'm a Florida transplant, orig from Canton.

Browns
Steelers :notnice:

I can see it now, as soon as OH passes this no front plate law, half of NE Ohio will go out and buy Browns license plate frames.

LMAO!!

I almost bought Browns specialty plates last year before I got my car. I think I read somewhere that Cleveland averages 4 "cloudless" days a year.

Why is it ok to drive around for 30 days without a front plate? Why is it ok for dealers to only have back plates? Someone rode the short bus.

P.S. I would like to add, Bob Taft is a dillhole.

wow, not a single cloud today... would someone from outside Ohio like to tell me what that big bright yellow thing is?

Bob Taft's not the only dillhole, Jane Campbell (mayor of Cleveland) is too. What kind of stupid person tries to outlaw tailgating at football games... and honestly Jane, isn't it bad enough that we are the mistake on the lake with the river that caught on fire and only city that went bankrupt, do we have to adopt a trash can too?

Yep, Republican, Democrat, it don't matter here in good ole Ohio, they all stink. And I'd like to apologize to the rest of the nation, seriously Dennis Kucinich was supposed to be a joke, it just turned into a joke gone wrong, I'm sorry.
