Past and currently owned cars All Makes.....Vintage Family Car Pics Etc.

Here's some pictures of my past and presently owned vehicles. The red mustang is a 1990 LX I sold back in 2007. The white GT-350 I just purchased with only 22k original miles. The corvette is a 1992 with only 14k original miles. The Ford F-100 is a 1970 XLT with only 34k original miles. I currently own the F-100, Corvette, and the GT350......Det45

The corvette has a 300HP LT1 ZF six speed manual. Both mustangs are 5.0 AODs. The F-100 has a 360FE with C6 auto.

The three blue convertibles are the current fleet ('65 Corvair, '13 GT, wife's '03 Miata).

The black '65 Corvair was my first car, the bronze '66 my second car, the '90 Probe GT my third, the yellow '66 my fourth, and the '99 green Miata my fifth car.

I guess my stable has changed since I last posted in 2017 (post 3). Only the Trans Am remains. I also upgraded from that C4 to a C6 for awhile before selling it for my new Challenger purchase in 2020. I really enjoyed the performance in those Corvettes, especially the insanely fast LS3, but we became tired at the lack of space. At least we got to experience them. it was fun but I don't miss them one bit..

The wife said I should get a dealers license. Here's a pic of my rolling stock a few years back. Some have stayed (The Camaro, and the wife's '18 are still in the yard.), some have changed, but I still own too many.

The replacement for the silver Stingray. We've owned some kind of Corvette since 1980. It's like a genetic defect now.

This one replaced the truck.

And of course this little '07 replaced my '06.

Going to go from oldest first. Had a couple of Barracudas, a '67 Camaro convertible, a nice little Valiant Signet, a LeMans 400 a Triumph Spitfire, and an assortment of RWD Celicas, but this '69 Caprice with a built L-48 350 was my first California car, bought from a friend in SoCal after he moved back to Florida soon after I first moved here almost 30 years ago.

This image of my all-original Supra was taken by Jeff Koch of Hemmings Sports & Exotic before I sold the car to a couple from Canada after owning it for more than twenty years.and driving it across the country on Route 66.

I soon purchased and still own this Medium Dark Purple Metallic '95 Firebird Formula for a bargain price from the original owners. It is 1 of 37 built in this color in '95 (and handful more in '96) and 1 of less than all 1800 or so Formula convertibles built from 1994 to 1997.

I wanted a 2nd generation Firebird so badly that I bought this original '76 Camaro with a perfect interior and totally straight body in Southern California as a substitute for just $4000 in 2016. It had been stored for 21 years but no one bought it because of two small rust holes under that wrap-around rear window and the straight 6 cylinder under the hood. It freaked out Pennsylvanians for two years when I drove it every day year 'round even in the snow!

This 45,000-mile 1975 Firebird Esprit is an even rarer factory color car than the '95 at least as far as survivability --- the paint is Persimmon, which varies from an earth orange in the sunlight to a cool apple red in the shade. The engine is still incredibly tight and it may be one of just a handful in this color. All '75s came with the sports ("radial tuned") suspension with rear sway bar and h/d springs.

This is my new driver, at least on weekends -- a stock, one-previous-owner 80,000 mile 2006 Legend Lime Mustang GT convertible. Not sure I'm crazy about the black leather interior on 105 degree days, but I love the 5 speed manual!

Okay Go To Early 1980's and I Got This 73 Mercury Marquis 460 4V. In Central Cal From The Mid 70's to Mid 80's a Lot of The Teens & Early 20's Guys Would Get a Old Family Car & Lower it to the Ground With The Largest Widest Tires You Could Fit on Tru Spokes or American Racing 200s, Wheels Put in the Loudest Stereo You Could get and Have shall We Say a Mobile Lounge! Also Optional Some Exhaust Work!

I Bought this One With From The Owner as Described a Totally Blown Engine. Well It took Me All of About an Hour To Find the Rear Barrels on the Carb Had Stuck about a Quarter Way Open. With a Bunch of Carb Cleaner & Persistence I Got it Freed Up & Drove it Back to Where I bought It. It Purred Like a Kitten The Guy Freaked as I Only Payed a Few Hundred Bucks For It.

Made Good Transportation up To My Trans Am Years! If That Merc Could Talk The Tales it Could Tell! And That's All Will Say about That. Lots of Pretty Ladies Rode in That Car!

Oh Almost Forgot I Had The Hood Old School Louvered. So it Was Like My More Modern Chopped Merc The Way it Look With The Low Roofline They Had Along With The Hood. A bit Different From My Normal Muscle Car Theme I Usually Drove. Later On I Would Get More FULL-SIZE Cars! Love Em!

It Had Kinda THE CAR Vibe From The Campy James Brolin Movie!

^^^ Thanks for this idea. Cool photos and stories.

I've had way too many rides to post them all but here are some you guys might enjoy...The two Fiats were necessary in my early years due to too many tickets in my 1971 Plymouth with a 383. Those Fiats could not speed if you wanted them too. Once the points expired I was good to go again. A little written under each photo.

While Not My Car, I Found This 68 428 Cj Mustang with a Shaker Scoop To Be Plenty Cool! I Don't Think the Shaker Was an Option in 68 But Could Be Wrong. Anywhoo What a Car. Pic Was Taken at a Car Show in Phoenix Arizona While I was At Automotive School in 81-82.

Thought The Folks Would appreciate it!

What Say Paul in 68 Was Scoop an Option??

Closer Look Seems To Show Hood Raised at Rear Which May Indicate Fit Issue.

I Guess My Love of Wheels Started Early. This is Me & My Middle Brother Terry in 1963. He Bought That Honda 50 at Age 15 Sans a Drivers License and Tooled Around on it Until the Local Police Slowed his Roll.Just Me & Brother Terri Left. Oldest Brother & Sister have Passed on!

My First Motorized Vehicle was a 68 Mini Trail Honda 50 Followed By a 1973 Honda Xr-75. Both Highly Sought After By Collectors These Days! The Xr-75 was The First Sold in My Small Hometown and was $300.00 Brand spanking New! Man it was a Lot of Fun! I Had a Route of Fields i Would Follow to a Local Riding Spot About 5 Miles From Home. If Mom Only Knew!

At One Point I Had a Speedo Hooked Up the the 75 and it Topped Out at 55 Mph. I Also Raced Scrambles on That Bike and Then Moved up to 74 Suzuki TM-100 I Motocrossed & Also Raced Scrambles with. It Was Sold Later & I Got My First Car, a 68 Cougar in 1978. I Too Started Early at 15 Driving That Car Sans License for 6 Months as I Could Not Wait With a Car Sitting in the Driveway! DOH! Don't Judge Things Were a Bit Different Back Then!

On a Side Note Those Honda 50 Based Engines Were Bullitproof and Used By Honda For Decades!

Enjoy,

Kc

Definitely not stock...as the shaker didn't make it's appearance until 1969. The only scoop available in 1968 was on the 1968 1/2 Cobra Jet cars....
