Opel Adam
For some reason, I love these European premium superminis.
Too bad it's not available with a diesel, and the top engine (1.4L) is rated at only 99 hp, but I would still drive it.

And isn't there a point where having such a small engine actually hinders your ability to get better mileage? I just see having such a low powered car you'll have to run the thing way up in the range an kill any chance of getting outstanding mileage as compared to a I4.

These little cars don't weight a lot, so 99 hp is not as bad as it sounds.
I drove a 65 hp Yugo once, which weights around 1,800 lbs, and it drove really well. It actually felt faster than my 160 hp Fusion.

I would ... I would buy Adam before Fiat 500 simply because I don't really trust Fiat reliability, even tho I think 500 looks much better.
Plus, Buick is already selling the Encore, which is the smallest SUV/Crossover in the USA. They needs a Adam-type of a car to get noticed.

Instead of the Adam, they should call it the Eve, because its definitely a chick car.
yes it is. Buick sold Opels in the '60s and '70s as the smallest, most economical cars GM sold in the US.

From about '66 to '80, Buick sold Opels here in the US. The Adam would make for a perfect return to those days.

This thing looks pretty good. really digging the gauges
If this was here as a Buick it might finally be the thing to make them appealing to the younger market. Around here theres a fair nnumbe of people with money to burn, but dont want a huge car because of how much of a pain it is to deal with one in a city.
Plus they could paint it all black and throw turbos at it and it'd be a mad tight miniature GNX
