I think it was a Faord Falcon.

They're not exactly rare, as in a limited production run of about 200 Ferrari 275GTS's, but obviously less common than coupes.
I am old enough to have been driving when the Falcon was introduced and I had several friends who had Falcons. Me, I had a Fairline. Most of the cars in the 60's weren't very good, especially by today's standards, and the Falcon was a classic POS.
If you ever drive one, you'll discover what I mean. Underpowered, evil handling, sloppy steering, and terrible drum brakes which weren't fun in the rain. In those days, cars had points and plugs which needed changing on a very frequent basis, but they were a lot easier to work on, which you had to do. What it was at the time was fairly inexpensive transportation--and, of course, the car that the first Mustang was based on.
You might think I don't like the old cars. Not so. They were what I drove in those days. I appreciate them for what they were and am thankful for the progress we've made since then. If I ever win the lottery or something like that, I'd probably go looking for something like a 1958 Caddy convertible.
