GM reveals next Camaro engine Mustang will have to compete with?
Just came across this on Edmunds:

GM revealed 420hp twin turbo V6. Is this the engine that the next Mustang will have to contend with with the Camaro?

Going into the next CTS first I guess but C&D says it's a possibility for the camaro as well.

I can't see them putting it into the Camaro at 420, would put it too close to the supposed 450 of the new Vette engine which will probably go into the Camaro as well. But 420 is a nice number...wish Ford would redesign the Taurus as RWD. and compete with the CTS.
.
Yes, it is. I spent a little time on Camaro5.com at the weekend, trying to work out what's expected. No spyshots over there or anything. Seems they are very much in the dark, so I think it's going to be a very subtle refresh (I wonder if it'll use the changes seen in the Euro-spec Camaro.....ie those ugly rear lights).
For me, the Taurus is too big and akward. The CTS however is a tight looking beast. I also like the ATS. I would love to see a ecoboost v6 in a awd fusion. Firm up the suspension, put on some really sticky tires, give it some comfy snug seats..... Be a sexy little family car/rocket

I guess we'll find out next week. I'd be pretty surprised to see this in the next Camaro also, but it's an interesting thought. If they do, wonder if it would be too late for Ford to change their engine options for the next Mustang.
