And I like the part where they say that it needs to sell 150,000 camaros/firebirds in the first year since the mustang sold 160,000. Thats probably one of the dumbest things ive heard. There are only so many people wanting to buy ponycars and for GM to pick up that many in it's first year they would have to steal pretty much all of the mustang sales. I'd say if GM could break half in the first year theyll be doing pretty **** good.

Depends upon whether they sell the car overseas - which, I believe, is part of the plan. They may be counting that 150K number as global sales, which should be quite doable.
The Camaro runs on the global Zeta platform, so the chassis would be quite acceptable to European tastes, and at the same time would give them an opportunity to own a genuine American muscle classic.

They said that a Pontiac car will be based off of the Camaro, but it would not be called "Firebird" maybe there will just be a Trans Am, and no base Firebird?
