The "new" Porsche 911
Why do they even keep the design team, they don't do anything.

The S models pictured here will be powered by an updated, 400bhp version of the 3.8-litre flat six found in today’s 380bhp Carrera S. The entry-level Carrera model, however, is now powered by a 3.4-litre flat six rather than a 3.6. It produces more power than today’s 997, going from 341bhp to 350bhp. Carrera models feature twin exhaust pipes at the rear; Carrera S models get quad pipes.
A seven-speed manual gearbox will feature on the new 911, too —an industry first. It is essentially a manually controlled single-clutch version of the PDK dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The seven-speed PDK auto will be the other gearbox option at launch.
After its Frankfurt debut, the first examples of the new 911 should be with customers by the end of the year.

Beetle or not it's still an amazing car. Another true performance value for the segment it's in. I want a Ferrari like anyone else but I'd buy the Porsche every time. Not as elegant but just as much car.
Though I will never have that kind of money, I will forever want to drive a Ferrari but I guess I'd settle for an R8.

Front looks like an R8, rear looks a little too Aston Martin and the profile makes it look like a two door Panamera.
I've never been a 911 style fan and i'm even less so now.

Thats 911, evoluntionary, not revolutionary when it comes to the iconic shape.
I eagerly await the GT2 RS version, I wonder how they up the ante? The out going model sported 620hp and a curb weight less than 3200 lbs IIRC

Interior is the biggest, and most needed, improvement. While their quality has never suffered, the interiors in much of Porsche's lineup have a very outdated look. Exterior-wise it's a 911, fresh details but otherwise unmistakably 911.
I've read Porsche is going to offer an M7 alongside its automated manual. Hopefully there are enough Porsche faithful who like rowing thier own gears that the manual goearbox doesn't go the same route as the Lambroghini's

I like it, but the front end looks more like a frog . . . in my opinion.
