I don't think so . . .here is this generation re-freshed for this year.

New Lease Of Life For Mondeo

t's a case of the light fantastic for the new Mondeo. Ford has revamped the look and quality of its family car, and also added two new trim levels to the range.

But as these official pictures show, the most noticeable difference is at the rear. New lights and a redesigned bumper, which incorporates a lower lip with twin reflectors, have been added. Up front, the Mondeo gets a stylish mesh grille, which is painted silver on high-spec models. These variants get body-coloured bumper strips, too.

Inside the cabin, the door handles, gear- lever gaiter and clock surrounds are now chrome on all versions. There is also a wider choice of interior colours, while two new trim levels have been added: Titanium and Titanium X. These offer similarly high equipment levels as the luxury Ghia and Ghia X specifications, but are aimed at younger buyers. The models get unique 17 and 18-inch alloy wheels respectively, and both also boast deeper front and rear bumpers than the standard machines, plus privacy glass on the rear windows.

Titanium-badged cars have unique cloth trim and metallic-effect flashes, plus a Sony CD player. Meanwhile, the Titanium X adds climate seats, ESP and a mix of leather and Alcantara upholstery. New optional gadgets include three different types of Bluetooth mobile hands-free kits, while all cars get an auxiliary input jack in the glovebox to connect an MP3 player or Apple iPod. Finally, the Mondeo's brakes have been upgraded to provide more feel.

The revised car goes on sale next month. Prices start at £15,995 for the base LX, rising to £22,360 for the ST V6 range-topper.

Looks a lot like the Mazda 3 which I like. I think if they brought it back over here and didn't detune it like they did with the 4 cyl contour/mystique it would sell great!

Ps I loved the handling on my dads Mystique even though it was a 4 cyl.

Cool! Thanks. And it makes sense that it's a concept . . .from the A-pillar back she looks a little like a Volvo S40. Are the making the next generation Modeo on a stretched S40/Euro Focus/Mazda 3 chassis? Or is it the Mazda 6/Fusion chassis? Or is it staying on it's current chassis . . .(I know, I know . .lot's of questions . . )

Looking over the pictures of Europe's current Mondeo (esp. the interior), it kills me to see how Ford treats us with the Focus.

The Focus interior is exactly the same here as it is in the US. Welcome to European Ford Interiors, the new Mondeo will not be as plush as the concept.........

Thats with the gen 1 Focus James. The all new C1 platform focus is Europe only. We got a remake[decontent IMO] job of the original C170 focus.

Really nice interior.
I'm going to Europe in 2 weeks so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna see some cool European Fords over there.

You are not getting the new focus?? Wierd, I would have thought they would roll that out worldwide. Unless it is because they have not launced a sedan version og the car

We were hoping too, but we were stuck with a slight facelift, with an major overhaul in a couple of years.
