From Autoweek. It's like a late 80's Jeep Grand Cherokee hit it's mid-life crisis and spread out in the middle......this is just horrible. Looks like the 300C may not have been a sign of great things to come.

I agree. Many new Daimler-Chrysler SUV's look more like barely-lifted minivans (i.e. Grand Cherokee, Durango, this).

I thought the same thing regarding the '80's Grand Cherokee. Looks like it is a cross between an '80's Cherokee and Liberty.

If a Landrover and an 80's Cherokee had a kid, and this kid got hit with an ugly stick you would have this.

My goodness! I hadn't expected anything that bad. I thought this thread was a joke until I saw the pics and Autoweek's story. And it's not April 1, yet. Sheesh.

It's like a dumb cousin to the Range Rover.

To me the 300c was the ultimate fluke. Look all the other crap to come from the same genes, the Charger, this PoS, the mag-wagon. Somehow the 300c hit just the right cord to appeal to people (IMO its the fugliest of the bunch) and I don't see it getting replicated any time soon.

Yep, it looks like they tried to "cross breed" an 80's Cherokee and a Land Rover Discovery.

I usually go easy on cars, rarely call them ugly. but....

I agree, DC's SUVs are definitely taking a turn for the worse. The old Grand Cherokee, Durango, they were pretty nice, in fact some of the best in my opinion. They ruined both of those, and this Commander is just way too ugly to start with. Even the mercedes SUVs are getting uglier.
