New Engine - Too good to be true?

This was posted on the Ford Australia forum site. Suposedly they have developed a normally aspirated inline 6 4.0 litre engine where the valves are actuated by solenoids getting rid of camshafts all together and allowing for infinitlely variable valve timing. Now for the best part the suposed specs

HP 295 @ 7200 rpm
torque 339 @ 4600 rpm with 295 availablr from 1200rpm

If this is true I really hope we see something llike this in a V-8 for america here is a link to the full post.

Cool! Thanks for the link.

Wonder if that technology will show up in the "new" 6.2L Ford motor that is in development and mention on BON and in this months Motor Trend. :scratch:

EDIT: I see some others posted about the possiblities of this technology on the Hurricane motor! :bang: (It pays to read the entire thread!)
