Thumbs up New BMW 5-Series Touring

The current 3-series is a nice looking car and this new 5 is evidence that the Bangle-bungle is behind them.

I'm a bit biased as my DD is a E39 (now TWO generations old ) 520 Touring. It's a superb car.....well, for slonking 100 miles down the motorway everyday, it is. Smooth ride, quiet as a kitten and a silky smooth 2 litre straight six (which makes it slow and thirsty, but I'll put up with that).

It took me a long time to "like" the current 5-series, and always thought it looked best in Touring form. I like this new one from the get-go

I have always been a fan of the E39 chassis & the touring model is great looking. But this new touring model is just drop dead gorgeous.
