To the tire pro's out there. I have been thinking about wheels and tires. I know 18's are for me. Can you put a 285x40x18 on an 18x9 wheel? The tire size calculator said 18x9.5. I found some Bullitt 18x9's I love but, I think 275's would not look fat enough. So would 285's fit? Or might they slow the car down by being too heavy? :bang:

you should be able to..it's only a quarter of an inch stretch on either side so you should be fine.
I wouldn't worry about them being to heavy

I'm not sure if this is in regards to the 05 so I'm gonna move it to General vehicle

Yes the 05. I'm talking about the stanard wheel VS the 285's on 18x9s. Would it slow the car down much?
