We bought a demo 04 Explorer a few years back but never got the key codes for the keyless entry from the dealership. The manual states that the code is located on the computer, but I have no clue where that is

Pull the interior panel off on the passenger side in the rear cargo area, it is printed on the sticker on top of the computer.

 

That is true sometimes, but in recent years, Ford stopped applying the sticker on the computer. Now, the only way to get it, is to take it to your local Ford dealer, and have them go into the PCM with their laptop, and retrieve the code.
