Here are the pic I took at the NAIAS on Jan 22nd in near blizzard conditions outside.
Mustang - GR1- GT pics are here
It wasn't as crowded as it normally would be.. it was still packed though.. we all got 12 inches + of snow. It hasn't snowed like this in years. Took us awhile to get going. I live like 15 mins south of Detroit, but because of the roads, it seemed like it took 45 mins.
We saw a loader truck in an accident.. had a new V6 05 on it... oopsie. And right near that accident.. another accident happened right behind us. KINDA SCARY!!
I knew not to take my Mustang, so we tried to take the beater Escort. But the darn thing wouldn't come out of gear. So, finally had to barrow my moms Escape.. which slips and slides worse than my Mustang does :notnice:
The NAIAS was kind of a disappointment this year. The displays were a little smaller (They are planning on expanding Cobo Hall) and not too many exciting cars were released this year. The GM area didn't have the top floor this year.
Biggest attraction was the Ford display, near the Mustangs, Ford GT and the GTR, which is AMAZING in person
Any who...

ASC GTO
The paint job is amazing. ASC is like a 2 miles south of me. The owner.. committed suicide a few years back. I took Sarah over to Grosse Ile where his HUGE house and property is at. ASC is also the company that invented the sunroof.

Dodge Charger. I sat in it.. felt like I was sitting in a station wagon :notnice:
You can't really see it in this picture.. but they had people dressed as cops, almost Chips looking cops.. fake giving tickets to people in the Dodge area.
The Firepower is AWESOME (haha word filter put something else in that looked worse haha)
The 3rd light is the lil red "nib" on top, like an antenna.
Red interior was in A LOT of cars.. better get used to it.
Maybach

They'll only allow you back there if you are serious about purchasing. Sarah and I were stund and I think everyone around us was too.

Great pix, Amy! Especially since you had to fight the crowds for a clear shot!
I got a few myself, but tossed a couple once I got home when I realized they were blurry or someone was obscuring my subject. Only one thing bothers me...in all of those photos...not one AUDI! Not even the S4 or the TT. Oh well.
Still, appreciate all you've done. In spite of the weather. Sounds like you had an adventure getting to the show, but I'm glad you made it. B)

I'm not a fan of too many import cars.. so I didn't venture into that area too much. They are boring to me.. atleast look wise.
Not a fan of the Audi TT :notnice: I think they look like doo doo.. but they do drive nice. haha

That is so refreshing! An honest reply. No sugar coating. THANK YOU! You know, I would tend to agree with you about the styling on some imports. They can be kind of sterile or just bland. I truly appreciate your candor.
I for one never expected to find myself behind the wheel of an Audi A4, but here I am. I just took it out for a test drive and I was amazed! That's what sold me on it. It's a sporty little sedan, but let's face it, nothing is like having a 2 door coupe with a healthy V8 powerplant at your disposal. If I wanted to get an Audi with a V8, it would cost me twice as much as a Mustang AND their fuel economy stinks (like it matters, I know). Heck, even the V6 delivers more ponies than my turbocharged 4 cylinder! But the base A4 never intended to be anything other than near-luxury transportation. I don't regret buying it, but my timing is awful!
As I've said in earlier posts, I hope to ride out the winter in the A4 (the Quattro all-wheel drive grips the road in all kinds of slop) and take delivery on a GT in the late Spring or early Summer. I'd hate to re-learn how to drive a RWD car in the Winter!
Thanks again for your input, and the pix.
