Replaced the inner tierod and greased the outer ones & lower balljoints. They needed it badly. Next on the to-do list are brake pads and an alingment. Brake pads are worn out more than half.

Guess I found the rough idling problem.

I replaced it with the metal one that came off the explorer intake I put in the Mustang. Fits like a glove

Started right un and ran smooth.
DPFE sensor ftw.

I passed a drill with a wire wheel to remove as nuch rust as I could off the roof of the truck. Gave it a few coats of satin blue I had laying arround. Obviously doesn't look that great, but it will stop it from rusting out.

Replaced the tailgate cables today. The right one snapped and since they were OEM the other one wouldn't be too far from breaking.

Bought the upstream o2 sensors. Still need to swap them lol. Other than that, nothing new to report.

Update!

06+ mirrors are done. I ordered a new switch since that's why they didn't work.

I'm doing something lol.

I'll finish it tomorrow. I want to clean & paint the intake plenum since it looks way too dull to my taste. I also have the Motorcraft 02 sensors for it.

Upstream 02 sensors are done. Passenger side was the culprit, but since I had new Motorcraft sensors both were changed.

Still need to instal the exploder gauge cluster and figure out why the subwoofer doesn't work. The first time I tried to check the radio wiring I just got really frustrated of the hack job they did installing the sound system in this thing. Still debating if I'll replace the head unit and the eq. The 96 Mustang has a really nice but quirky Kenwood that I can use if I want. Also I have the two Pyle 10"s that I plan to put in this thing. I'll have to shop arround for a suitable box that'll fit the back of the cab.

The work I've done was really worth it! The truck feels like it got a new engine. Very quick throttle response & power. I have to pay more attention to the speedometer than I used to lol. Now it takes all the advantage of those 3.73:1 gears.

As always happens with cars, you fix one thing and another breaks. A/c died. I suspect the compressor self destructed and clogged the orifice tube.

Ordered a new Denso a/c compressor. Got it delivered a few weeks back. Still need to install it and get the other parts to send the truck to a shop to have the system flushed, sealed & recharged.
