My new daily driver
#1
A lot of you on this board know that I truly loved my little Subaru WRX Wagon and have had alot of fun with it getting it into the low-mid 13's. Well, for the past 12-15 months, I have been saving my pennies, selling tons of crap on eBay, playing the stock market and doing just about everything else I could to say up some cash. With about $9000 for a down payment, I was able to get my monthly payments halfway reasonable.
Now, the choice. As much as I'd LOVE to get a 2005 Mustang GT, I just couldn't justify it for Michigan winters and two little boys constantly getting in and out of the back seat (plus, I still have my "pumpkin" for when I want to drive something domestic). My other passion was a Subaru WRX STi. I found a great deal on a low mileage (4,300) 2005 model that was flawless. I struck a deal, my stepdad went down to drive it home and she's MINE now.
This car is incredible. I thought my WRX was a tight little ride. This thing is hands down just that much better. The butt dyno says it's a bit quicker than my modded WRX (even though it's bone stock), and it just handles, brakes, and accelerates with the passion of a sportbike. It comes with a 300hp turbocharged and intercooled 2.5L boxer 4 cyl, 6 speed manual, AWD, Brembo brakes, 17" BBS wheels, has such cool features as a water spray for the intercooler, driver controlled differental control (where you can divy up the front/back ratio from 35/65 to an even 50/50), programmable shift indicator, adjustable HID headlights, etc, etc, etc. And yes, the big scoop and large spoiler are actually functional (you should see the top of the rear spoiler flex from downforce while smoothly skimming along at 120mph on the highway).
Anyway, I realize some of you could care less about my import, rice, Japanese crap, whatever you want to call it, but it just screams "me" and I had to share with you guys after all that I've gone through to get one of these.

GM owns 20% of Subaru and may by the year 2012 buy all the shares.
Which is not bad,GM & Ford are my favourite car companies they own the best brands in the world.I will be happy to see the only one Japan brand I like under GM wings.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but what does GM have to do with Subaru?
