As the exhaust roar builds it's as if there's a little devil on your shoulder shouting, "Yes! Faster! Faster!"
Thats great!! hhaha

Now that seamed like an honest review, especially if you read their opinion on the other two cars. None of them are losers, but only one is the winner

Pssst . . . Please don't tell the IRS guys about this review . . . . . .

My favorite line was:

The Mustang is easier to drive hard and hanging the tail out is cause for shouts of "heck yeah!" rather than "Uh oh."

I think that review sums up my opinion as well.

The only "fun" cars I've owned in my life were a Mustang and 2 280Z's.

When the Z came back I had the reaction "I will own one, this will be my next car" but that feeling soon faded.

When I first saw the Mustang I had the reaction "Gotta have it". The difference?
The reaction lasted.... approaching a year now. The Mustang will be in my garage next week

I had the same not so comfortable reaction to the interior of the Z. The Mustang on the other hand was very comfortable, and glad for it, because if it felt anything resembling an 04 Mustang, a Z would be arriving next week instead.

I test drove an rx 8. Sounded like a lawnmower. Handled well because they put good tires on her. Could not get over the chipmonk sounds coming from her motor though.

66, I can't believe you still don't have your Mustang! We ordered on the same day and I have had mine for 6 weeks! At least your wait is coming to an end

Going into corners the car has a tendency to understeer, and body roll is a bit excessive. On the racetrack the Mustang felt like a skater with weak ankles trying to keep up with the varsity hockey team, probably due to mediocre tires and suspension tuned for ride quality over all-out handling.
I'm glad the professionals agreed with my first criticism. I put new tires on my ride after 1400 miles. Is Ford listening out there?

After reading read nothing but horror stories about all the oil the RX-8 burns, I can't for the life of me figure how it won the "2004 International Engine of The Year" (2.5 - 3.0 liter category).

Doesn't the rotary engine naturally require a lot of oil? I don't think that's their anything wrong with the engine because of that. Are you sure about that category? The RX-8 only has a 1.3L engine.

Let's just say you don't want to be the unlucky sap who gets built first during your build week AND be the first into an empty holding lot

But next week I won't even remember it

Yes, the way the rotary is designed causes it to burn oil. If you own an RX-8, you must religiously check the oil. If you ever let it get too low, you have a very expensive boat anchor under the hood.

When the only thing they can complain about is the parking brake you know it's a great car!

Alright, I'll step in on this one. I currently own an RX8 and I love it. But I am selling it NOT because it burns oil (which it is supposed to), but rather it is to small to haul anything. And I can't get over the power and torque of an American V8.

The RX8 has oil injectors to lubricate the apex seals. Yes, you must check the level religiously(every 1000 miles). I just think it's ignorant for some people to misjudge other vehicles when they DON'T do their research first...
Read up before you make false conclusions. It's not that hard. BTW, it's not a 2.5 - 3.0.. More like 1.3L..

Sorry, had to vent. K, feel better now..
