How can a Kia Rondo and a Mercedes S-Class be in the same category?
Well, if the S-Class was one of the competitors, can anyone tell me in which of these categories is it not the best of the bunch?! And don't say value, because no other brand retains its value like a Mercedes. Or is it different in the US?
Staffers at the magazine evaluated the vehicles on their innovation in engineering, design, safety and technology; their performance and quality; and whether the vehicle delivers value to the consumer.
It's different in the US. Mercedes have lost their luster in North America over the past few years due to some of the poorest quality and reliability ratings in the industry.
I'm sorry, that car really DOES look crappy. It's like a mix between extremely boring and very ugly. I actually used to kinda like the Camry, too, but that's just awful.
Well its not quite worthy of a "
" smiley, simple because it has so little in the way of style that there is no bad styling to criticize.
I will never give one a second look on the road.

Well, if you believe Consumer Reports.
Actually, it's pretty much common knowledge nowadays that Mercedes ain't what they used to be.
But I'm gonna assume that you already knew all of this and were just being sarcastic.

from any reference point that you look at it.
Motor Trend give me a break, Detroit has stopped believing you since you drove a prototype Edge and said it was a production.
YOU MAKE ME SICK

YOU MAKE ME SICK
Just the latest big bowl o' crap From "Transportation Appliance Trend". BTW, Toyota makes nothing but soulless cars-just a bunch of auto parts flying in formation (Yes, I know that they do so extremely well - but you could tell me their cars could crap nickels and I still wouldn't buy one!)

Mercedes tops reliability report

According to the German automotive association ADAC, Mercedes-Benz vehicles are the most reliable among the German brands. The C-Class, CLK-Class, E-Class, M-Class, S-Class, and the SLK-Class all took top spots in the association's latest report, more than any other German automaker. The ADAC was especially impressed with the C-Class (pictured). This is particularly surprising considering the quality troubles Mercedes-Benz has had to deal with the last few years.[Source: Canadian Driver]
Somehow I tend to give much more credit to the ADAC report over any Consumer Reports survey, especially when the German report is based - inter alia - on the opinions of all German car manufacturers.
Well, it seem that the Germans' opinion differs:

It isn't just Consumer Reports that has downgraded Mercedes. JD Powers has as well. Plus I know a few people who have owned them recently and say, "never again."
