Mercedes announces their new pickup truck.

So Mercedes announced their new pickup truck. Is it just me, or does this truck look more than a little familiar?

Mercedes X-Class Truck:

2016 Nissan Frontier:

I'll be laughing at anyone I see driving the Mercedes. I wonder how much that Frontier with a body kit is going to cost at the Mercedes dealership.

Yeah it's based on the Frontier ... and the lower part of the bumper cover, from the front looks terrible ...
I'm surprised Mercedes chose Nissan/Infiniti to start sharing product with ... Infinity is now selling a re-badged Merc crossover thing ...

I can assure you that when I see someone with one in a parking lot I'm going to ask how much their Nissan costs.

Unfortunately, 99.9% of the Merce-truck's buyers probably will have no idea that there's a Nissan frame under their Mercedes, that they're sitting in a Nissan cab, and so on ...

It won't be coming here, same with the current Nissan Navarra. They'd need to be modified pretty significantly to meet US regulations. That's why we still have the decade+ old Frontier on sale and the rest of the world has the newer version.
