Another sick mazda on its way! TCC got spy shots of a mule at the Nurburgring with a tacked on scoop, obviously pointing to something a long the lines of a turbo'ed engine.
TCC is guessing a turbo 2.0, putting out about 235hp, maybe down through the four wheels.

personally, i'd be happy if ford took both the mazdaspeed6 and 3, slapped on ford bodies and gave us SVT fusions and foci.

I read that earlier today. I'd like to see this engine/drivetrain combo in the 3 sedan as well as the hatch. Can't wait til it hits the streets.
Not sure what SVT is planning for the Fusion, and I do hope they are planning something.

I am not trying to teabag anybody here, but I just don't see how someone could desire this car, at least visually. Are you in love with the mechanics or performance? I could see how that would be the case, but it's just so bleepin ugly! It looks like a car that people buy because they have to, like a minivan.
Maybe someone just whizzed in my cornflakes.

I think the 3 is by far the nicest looking car in its segment. The new european focus is pretty sweet, but the north american one doesn't quite do it for me, so its mazda all the way in the compact segment.
the only thing i've never been that big a fan of is the rear quarter windows. Overall, the whole three-window glass area has a nice shape to it, but that last window on its own looks dumb and you've got a big chunk of a pillar blocking the view.
Otherwise, someone definitely is whizzing in your corn flakes, in my opinion.
