Maybe a Thunderbird?
Maybe a Thunderbird?
with all these new fords coming out like the 650HP GT500, focus st, a new fusion, and even new Lincoln concepts would it be so hard to imagine a new thunderbird? DONE RIGHT OF COURSE!!! i dont know about you guys but i would love to see a proper t-bird. 2 seat sports car. something to hit chevy in the pockets with their vette and dodges viper. i think it would be a good idea. drop the 5.0 under the hood and go to town. i found these on the internet and i am not to fond of them but i like the idea. i like the idea better than the GR-1 and those concepts. doesnt ford still own 12% of aston martin? maybe put it on a vantage platform! keep the price within comparison of vette. i think its worth a shot.

Wow that's ugly. The original Tbird was supposed to be competitive with the vette and then just went to big crap. That thing is little crap. I'm all for a vette competitor but that thing is horrid. Lose the retro.

I guess I'm the only one who didn't see anything wrong with the 2003 Thunderbird?
People kept complaining that it couldn't keep up with Honda S2000 and BMW Z4, but T-Bird was never supposed to compete with those cars. T-Bird was a personal luxury car built for slow cruising.
Same thing with the original 1955-1957 Thunderbird. Yeah, it was built as Ford's response to Corvette, but they were nothing alike. Corvette was built of fiberglass and with i6 engine and T-Bird was nothing like that.
And great reviews of retro-design 2003 T-Bird was most likely the reason why Ford built retro 2005+ Mustang.
