While Ford has shown Mercury concept vehicles based on the current Mustang platform, it's only recently that speculation put the same chassis into the Lincoln lineup. The project, if it makes it into production, would give Lincoln its first two-door coupe since the Mark VIII two-door left the lineup in 1998. Lincoln first will add a pair of sedans that will replace the LS and Continental; the four-doors will be based on the Ford Five Hundred/Volvo XC90 platform.
