I love the lotus, not so much its face, but the tail is awesome.

was it the TT version of the S7? the one with like 750 crazy horses or something?

The sky is a sweet car, i'd take that over a solstice, or a miata or an S2000, in terms of styling anyways. I don't see how it is a Saturn at all, but i guess they're kinda trying to redefine what Saturn means with this car.

The Nomad is just plain strange. And that's coming from a wagon guy who loves his parents Colony Park. I like the idea of it, and the general proportions of it are pretty good. But the shape of the very front and very back is just weird, amorphous, needs more definition i think. Maybe it could use a bumper or two.

it was amazing seeing all of these cars plus others... but i was hoping for more super cars/ future cars/ concepts. there were too many "everyday" cars.

call me strange, but i really liked the nomad... its a teacher's dream car, i guess you can say LOL

if the station wagon look catches on with the magnum and the others, i think it may be nice to have a normal sized, cool looking wagon out there like the nomad

Sky is a great looking car! I loved the Solstice when it was unveiled a while back, but I think the Sky looks even better.

Only thing that would stop me from getting a Sky (other than not having any money ) would be the lack of a hardtop ... a pure roadster has no value in Florida, you couldn't drive it 3/4 of the year.

I can't wait for the Philly auto show. I want to see the Sky in person. Too bad it won't be out until first qrt of 2006. I don't think I can wait that long. BTW, over on the Z28 board they have a post saying Saturn expects to sell 10K units a year at around 25K and will probably lose money on the car. I think they are nuts.

Here was that post from Camaroz28.com

From Autobeat Daily 1-17-05
SATURN COUNTS ON MONEY-LOSING SKY ROADSTER
TO REVIVE IMAGE.

GM says it has no hope of making a profit on its new Saturn
Sky roadster but says the car is worth selling if it changes
consumer perception about the struggling brand.
Saturn hopes to sell 10,000 of the little two-seaters
annually. But GM CEO Rick Wagoner tells the Chicago
Tribune the Sky won’t be profitable—even if Saturn sells
every one it can make for five straight years.

Such is the risk of “halo†cars, low-volume, often
performance-oriented models designed to generate buzz
that translates into sales of more practical vehicles carry-
ing the same brand.

The Tribute points out that two recent halo cars, the
Chevrolet SSR pickup and Ford Thunderbird, have
fizzled. Chevy targeted annual sales of 13,000 SSRs but
sold only 9,700 of them in 2004. Ford’s retro Thunderbird
started strong but soon faded, with sales last year dropping
34% to 12,000 units.

I just don't see them selling ten thousand of those without a top. Open-air roadsters are a niche product, and most of the people who can afford a non-practical weekend car can afford something better than a Saturn, even if this particular Saturn is pretty dang cool.

Give it a removable hardtop and it'd be fine, but I know I wouldn't buy that car without it.

I believe the reasoning behind the Sky is that it is a Vauxhall/Opel roadster with Saturn badges/minor cosmetics so that GM can skirt the new EU crash regs.

Basically, they rush out the Sky now...and release the new Vauxhall/Opel when the current generation has run its course...

The Vauxhall/Opel roadsters are mid-engined.

The Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky have an all-new front-engined chassis.
