Honda owner Roger Grenon wasn't pleased with being turned away from snobby parking lot car shows. Determined, he transformed his lowly econobox Civic SI into a "rare Ford concept" and bluffed his way in. Here's how he did it.

Seriously, if ANYONE who calls themself an auto lover is that oblivious to such a common car, then too bad for them. 
I don't think he was really showing up "fanboys" per se. It was probably just a focused show. Who cares?
On another note, fanboys, both domestic and import, are the worst detriments to the car hobby...EVER. Yeah, keep thinking the car you happen to own is the best thing since sliced bread, and the only thing worth squat. People like that drive me crazy. Having owned so many different types of vehicles, it really makes you realize how close-minded people can be.

Seems pretty spiteful and a lot of effort wasted. Was he really stupid and deluded enough to think his Honda would be allowed into an all-Ford car show? This isn't a case of snobbery or elitism. Brand- or marque-specific car shows occur all the time.
