Here in So. Cal. Challenger and Bullitt almost same price.

Can't believe that the dealer in Vista, CA is advertising a bullitt for around 41K. The Dodge dealership here in San Diego is selling their 08 Challengers for 42K. I can't believe that some dealers still think they will get over 40,000 for a bullitt. This thread is in no way ment to be neg. towards the bullitt and pos. towards the Challenger. Just stating the fact that some dealers still thrive on the markup and others realize that the markup is not a good idea.

My dentist ordered his Challenger last year from a dealer he's dealt with for years. Months before they were even available, the dealer called him and said he was willing to give him $20,000 over what he paid for it. Mind you, he had no money really invested in it, just a minimal deposit. He declined since he wanted the car and not the extra money.
Here in NH you're NOT going to find a Challenger at list price, or even close. I don't know about your area but just because the sticker might say $41,000 or whatever, chances are there's a hidden mark up tacked on when push comes to shove.
I went to a Ford dealer in Agawam, MA less than a month ago and saw a Shelby KR there. It was already sold at $108,000 sight unseen by a guy who bought it over the phone. I agree a dealer is dreaming to think they're going to get $41,000 for a Bullitt when there are better alternatives out there for the same price, but Ford dealers aren't alone in jacking prices up.

The Ford dealer is crazy.

The Dodge dealer is selling at MSRP, he must be the only one.

Talk about insanity.
I saw a new Hyundai Genesis at the dealer in NH this week.
$3000 over MSRP. On a Hyundai? Not a bad car, but $40K Hyundai?

Mustangs are not moving around here as far as I see. I haven't seen any chalengers in the lots yet. I don't see mustangs getting much mark up. They just sit.

LOL. Rarely see Bullitts on the road here, have yet to see a Challenger - the local mark up for them must be ridiculous because I've already seen a Nissan GTR (actually looks decent in black).
