Tuner car showdown. Would like to see how different it would have been though with better tires on the super snake and the big boy Chally.

Wow so this in the rumor mill 1000 HP mustang shelby is gonna do will be even worse using the same formula.
No matter what the HP if you can't put it down it's useless. Wonder how the chally would have done if they had this supposed 700hp version there.

Yeah, when will they learn that just throwing more power at it -- much more power as it's rumored -- isn't the answer! It's a stupid amount of power for street tires, and the Super Snake's 20's had to have killed it in these performance tests!

The Super Snake doesn't have wide tires either so that definitely doesn't help.

With all that power, sticky tires would make a world of difference as well as better suspension. I've said it before and I will continue to say it in the future...all the power in the world doesn't mean a **** thing if you can't get it to the ground properly. That car would be in the 10's with these things and THAT would be beautiful seeing as how it could then be comparable to the ZR1, at least in the 1320.

I got my Motor Trend in the mail today with this test in it. The Super Snake burnt the tires through 1st and 2nd gear. The Camaro had tire size front/rear 275/35ZR20 102Y; 305/35ZR20 104Y, Michelin Pilot Sports PS2. The Super Snake had tire size front/rear 255/35R20 97Y; 285/30R20 99Y, Pirelli PZero.

Power is useless without a means to put it down. Hell the same drivers got a better time 11.9 @ 121.6 out of the lesser powered LPE550 with 100 less horsepower to the wheels. I'd imagine both the super snake and HPE 650 could hit low 11's possibly high 10's with Drag radials. No way either could hit that with stock type tires.
