Hell hath frozen over: ROUSH begins selling high-performance parts for GM vehicles
It's called not putting all your eggs in one, quickly fraying basket.
I cant believe it...
sell out.
sell out.
BINGO! I am a Ford guy but I still like GM and some of it's products. Now when I see a Roush stage 3 Honda Civic then I will know that man kind is truly doomed.
I'd actually like to see what they can do. SLP went jumped ship, Saleen is talking about making a Saleen edition Camaro. It can only mean more money and more competitive mustangs out there. If Roush makes a 400+ Camaro you know he'll have several more mustang packages touting more.

BTW, I'm of the opinion that the F5 will weigh in the neoghborhood of the current GTO which means kiddies, that a comparable Mustang will need 390+hp to compete and there is the matter of Cadillac's new V6 which puts down 300hp and is slated for other cars after Cadillac gets a larger more potent version. This engine might very well find its way into the V6 F5 as the base engine.
If the F5 comes in at 3800 to 3900 lbs, then Mustang can compete with 20-30 fewer HP, there is also the matter of drivetrain effeciency, the M5/SRA combo is more effeicent at transfering power than an M6/IRS combo, if Ford could ditch the two-piece driveshaft, that would further reduce weight and parasitic power losses which would most definetly help, especially if they cannot find another 90hp from thier V8s.
Ultimately I dont think Mustang GT needs a 390-400+ HP V8, it is an entry level V8 car, some extra power would be nice, but it appears Mustang's V8 competitors aren't looking to comepete in this segment (especially with the possiblity of a 300hp V6, why would they!), and that means the F5 effectively slots in between the GT and the GT500 in terms of performance and that points to smething needed in between in the Mustang camp, like a 375 to 400 hp V8 (I cannot prognosticate of the future of the mod motors, the hurricane or a Jag sourced V8) or V10 of some sort.
Uhmm...just so you are aware, 08 Dodge Vipers will be assembly at Saleen's SSV Troy, MI
plant that use to assemble the Ford GT.
They too are spreading their luv around.
